The Town of East Gwillimbury is calling on its youngest artists to put their creativity to work and make their mark on the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.
Students in Grades 4 to 6 are invited to design the official 2026 Municipal Election “I Voted” sticker. The winning artwork will be printed and handed out to voters during the 2026 election, giving one local student the chance to create a little piece of East Gwillimbury election history.
This contest is a hands-on opportunity to engage some of East Gwillimbury’s youngest residents and show that democracy is more than something you learn about in a textbook, it’s something that has a real impact on the parks, trails, roads and events in our community. It’s a fun way for students and families to learn about local government and discover that you’re never too young to make your mark!
How to Enter
Once you have completed your design, submit the design by email to communications@eastgwillimbury.ca or drop it off at the following locations during regular business hours:

- Civic Centre (19000 Leslie Street, Sharon)
- Health and Active Living Plaza (160 Jim Mortson Drive, East Gwillimbury)
- Elections Team at community engagement booth
Entries must be submitted by October 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
A panel of East Gwillimbury Staff will determine three semi-finalists for the public to vote on.
The winning design will be used for an Election Day sticker that will be distributed to EG voters on Election Day. The winner will also receive a prize from an EG business.
Contest Rules
- Students OR participants must be in grades 4 to 6 as of September 2026.
- Students OR participants must be a resident and/or attend school in East Gwillimbury.
- The design must include the words “I Voted”.
- The design can be completed by hand or digitally.
- Copyrighted images, logos and trademarks are not permitted.
Parent or guardian permission is required.
