Nominations for candidates for the 2026 Municipal Election opened May 1, 2026 and closed on August 21, 2026.
The list of candidates for the upcoming 2026 municipal election is below, showing the name and date of nomination filing, as well as other contact information if provided by the candidate. Information will be updated as it is provided by the candidates, and will be marked as TBD until it has been received by the Town. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order.
The Town is not responsible for the information on any individual candidate's website or social media pages, nor does the Town verify, authorize, or endorse the information provided by any candidate.
Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Town of East Gwillimbury that during the period commencing on May 1, 2026, and completed on Nomination Day, August 21, 2026, the following persons filed all necessary papers, declarations and fees, and the Municipal Clerk is satisfied that such persons are qualified and that their Nominations satisfy the requirements of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
